TATTERSALLS DECEMBER FOAL SALE

The Tattersalls December Foal Sale got underway with a daughter of PHOENIX REACH topping proceedings on the opening day of the five day sale. A total of 76 foals changed hands for a total of 274,700 guineas at an average of 3,614 guineas and a median of 2,000 guineas.

SALES RESULTS: DAY 1 (EXCEL FORMAT)

Catalogued as lot 282, the bay filly by PHEONIX REACH out of the SADLER’S WELLS mare RASMALAI was knocked down to Lodge Farm Stud’s Di Turner for 20,000 guineas. Consigned from the Christo Family’s Winterbeck Manor Stud, the filly is from the first crop of Andrew Balding’s globetrotting Group 1 star PHOENIX REACH. The son of ALHAARTH, who stands at the National Stud in Newmarket, recorded Group 1 wins in Dubai in the Sheema Classic, at Sha Tin in the Hong Kong Vase and at Woodbine in the Canadian International.
